Hi all. My daughter was recently accepted to Visi and another school that frankly made a better effort to attract lacrosse players during the admissions process. I understand there was a coaching transition underway at Visi that made it difficult for them to do the same. My daughter loves Visi and wants to attend, but has open questions about lacrosse. She would love to join a class of good players and play for strong coaches. Seems like the coaching situation is solid for at least for the next several years. Unfortunately, I don’t know know anything about the likely class of incoming players, including top players who actually did get some recruiting interest. Now that offers are out, can anyone comment strong players planning to attend or not? I’m not expecting identifying information, just hoping to hear something about the incoming class. Thanks!

My daughter was accepted to Visi and PVI but we are leaning more towards PVI based on ease of getting to/from school (we are on the Loudoun/Fairfax border). She's still going to get good lacrosse and we'll have a much easier commute. If we lived in or near Georgetown, we would have gone the other way. There's more to it than just lacrosse.

Unless all other factors are equal, she should not choose based on lacrosse.

We are in a similar situation on the Loudoun/Fairfax border in Sterling and the commute to Visi from where we live is essentially the same as the PVI commute. We are leaving towards Visi, also for reasons other than lacrosse, including the all-girls environment. Though lacrosse is not a primary consideration, I also would love to hear what is likely to happen with the 2028 class at Visi.

All else being equal she would prefer to play on a good team and win as much as possible. I am familiar with how college recruiting works and would have no expectations of the school in that area.

Knowing the other school would be useful in advising whether all else is equal. Taking the other historically strong ISL lacrosse schools, SSSAS and Visi are a lot more different outside of lacrosse than SR and Visi.

I have a good understanding of both schools and their lacrosse programs. I also have a good understanding of the 2028 players likely to attend the other school because they did a much better job communicating with me throughout the application process. What I don’t know is anything about the 2028 players going to Visi and was hoping to get some insight here. I have asked the question before on another forum and really did not get a response there either, so I am guessing there is not much to report, which is unfortunate.

I know of two high quality players who are undecided. That is all I have heard through the grapevine.
