You do realize that the fact that SJC has beating the OC local HS teams that consider themselves HS lacrosse royalty has impacted their recruiting of incoming 9th graders? That plus the fact that Coach Speaks spends his summers going to tournaments and recruiting, while other coaches are obviously too lazy to be bothered, has gotten SJC some of the best middle school talent in the area. A lot of Mater Dei families choosing Coach Speaks and SJC this go around - that kills the administrations that are used to getting those families based solely on name recognition. SJC just out working others on and off the field.

It has nothing to do with Speaks "out working" other coaches, SJC is just operating by a different set of rules.

this is very true.

only coaching staff that I know who pro-actively engages with other players on other teams rosters to try and get them to transfer in.

Those that know Coach Speaks personally know that what you are saying in BS. Someone is stroking themselves if they are saying Coach Speaks contacted them. Not his style.

YOU “know?” Then post the receipts. The fact is, you don’t know and have none so just stop. Have your son’s coach work harder.

SJC's ability to take in transfers for lax is very limited. Other than the fogo (whose Dad is UA connected), what transfers are making impact on team?

Older Millon actually not back yet. McDonogh 8-0 without top player.
