I'm pretty new to loving exercise. I took my first spin class 3 months ago and was shocked at how much I loved it. I have slowly worked up to 4 classes per week and I'm seeing great results physically and mentally. I know that while spinning is a great workout, I'm wondering what else I should 1-2 days per week that would compliment it/work on areas that Spinning doesn't as much.
I definitely get the "exercise high" from spinning and would like to try something else that would also make me feel great. Seasoned fit people that love working out what do you recommend? |
How about yoga and a muscle sculpting class? Both will do different things for your body that you will love. I try to fit all of those in each week.
I would suggest something that puts more focus on upper body and stretching the muscles of the legs. If you do not commit to a stretching routine after spinning - more than the 2 minutes at the end of class - you will eventually be in PT (I know through experience). Pilates, yoga might be things to look at, but you also need to do some dedicated stretching on your own.
Definitely something that develops upper body strength. A body sculpting class or something like that.
BBG?
