Teacher appreciation week

I know it is early.... but I was thinking about getting my child's teacher supplies for the classroom. Pencils.... glue.... markers... tissues, etc. Then I thought, wait, is that rude?

Nice! But get them something for themselves too!

Soap, erasers, stickers, wipes. Maybe scissors. I send in stuff regularly.

So appreciated! I would love pencils and glue sticks!

Ask first if they need supplies. When I checked with my kids' teachers a few weeks ago, they both had more then enough stuff to carry them through the year.

I am thinking the same thing. I teach in an elementary school and I have plenty of tissue boxes, glue sticks, wipes and other supplies. I run out of places to store them. Of course if the classroom needs supplies then it's a great idea.

Are there schools that don't have soap?

I wait for their 40% sales and then get Lands End Medium size totes and fill them with things like hand sanitizer and unscented hand cream.

My Title Ine school never has soap in the bathroom. Every student doesn't bring in supplies either so I run out of nearly everything by this time each year.

When I taught during teacher appreciation week each parent of a student would bring in a treat(we had a small school about 50 students) 1 day was coffee, doughnuts, lunch from ledos, flowers, cards. I like the idea of the other poster about getting a tote and filling it with treats!

A gift card is nice, but if you would really like to get a teacher related gift, try a gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers. One can spend hours on there looking through all of the fun ideas for lessons.

Our does this and I'm not a fan. One-two days is fine but a week gets expensive and a bit much to run around and buy all the stuff. I regularly give to our teacher. I'm surprised more parents don't donate regularly. In our class most of the families have the funds to do so. Even a few things every few months.

We are at a Focus school and our school asks for it on the school supply list. Teacher has a sink in the classroom.

I'm in an elementary school and we have sinks in the classroom. The custodians just refill the soap dispensers.

I think a day with some snacks is nice. A whole week would be a bit much. A "general/generic" gift card would of course be appreciated.
