| So I'm home today and watching some shows. I came upon Rachel Ray and was really surprised that she is getting pretty chunky. I'm not usually judgmental, but she is a celebrity. |
| Yes, how dare a celebrity look like a normal person. Especially one with a cooking show. |
|
|
She's always been chunky. She is now getting fat.
This is what happens when you take shortcuts with processed food. |
I thought that too. But it's actually just her face. Her body doesn't look any bigger than it has been. |
|
Never trust a skinny cook.
Get a life OP; stop with the passive aggressive, "I'm not being judgemental..." but I know I am. You're akin to someone who says, "No offense, but..." Of course they mean to offend. |

Saw an article about this, sounds like she is going through menopause. As a fellow sufferer of thyroid problems who is also going through menopause, I can relate.
I've started packing on the pounds and to stop it have had to cut out all sugar, all wheat, all dairy, and now a significant amount of carbs. Could not imagine being on a cooking show everyday. |

Emeril Lagasse
Mario Batali Tom Kerridge Let's not exclude them just because they are male celebrity chefs. |
OP here: of course I'm being judgmental. If you get paid the amount of money one does to be on TV, keep it together. |
| She always was. |
Listen, I'm 48. I get it. She doesn't have any kids though. I always wondered how someone gets fat with no kids. |
This! |
|
This is from a week ago. RR has always tended towards the "thick" side, and doesn't seem to have changed much. She tends to get a little puffy and gain weight in her face which maybe makes it look like more - and the camera does add a few pounds. But I don't think she's gotten really chunky (or more than normal thick-ness).

Plus one million. TONS OF FAT MEN ON TV! |
| Give the girl a break. I think it gives her credibility. I really don't trust a skinny cook. The worst example of a skinny TV cook is that Giada De Laurentis. She looks like a Pez dispenser. I don't watch her and I am not interested in her dishes. If she won't eat it, I won't either. |
