Rachel Ray is Getting Chunky

She yo-yos a lot. I get it, when your body settles at a weight society deems ugly, its tough fighting yourself all day every day.

Ugh, Giada, ugh. I can't with her. The way she says SPA-geh-TEE drives me crazy!

I was watching RR when she was on Worst Cooks with Anne Burrell (sp on that name) and noticed her face looked puffier. She was also wearing hideous shiny gold shoes most of the time.

She's fat, she's always been fat. She's a chef. Who cares?

Let's not exclude them just because they are male celebrity chefs.

Plus one million. TONS OF FAT MEN ON TV!

Agreed. Why isn't anyone posting about fat Emeril?!

You're welcome to start your own thread. Having one on Rachel doesn't mean there are no fat male chefs.

No it means you are a sexist jerk, even if you're a woman.

This is what happens when you take shortcuts with processed food.

Health Nazi! Coming through!

God bless her for not getting plastic surgery or some other procedure. My metabolism also has slowed in my 40s and the weight comes on at record speed if I so much as look at a piece of cake. Honestly, if she had worn a black jacket and a solid colored shirt it would have taken off 15 pounds. She's cute and as long as she eats healthy food and gets exercise I think she is a role model. Research suggests you can be overweight and healthy.

Anonymous wrote:She has a really odd body type. Even back in the day when she did her FHM magazine shoot her body is just odd. Her face gets super bloated…kinda looks like she goes on and off prednisone or something.

She also has almost zero neck which makes her look thick. I don't mind chubby celebrities, but can't stand Rachel since she is reported to be a total bitch in person. Also her recipes are not good.

I've started packing on the pounds and to stop it have had to cut out all sugar, all wheat, all dairy, and now a significant amount of carbs. Could not imagine being on a cooking show everyday.

Listen, I'm 48. I get it. She doesn't have any kids though. I always wondered how someone gets fat with no kids.

I'm the pp. I am fat with no kids because I am infertile due to pcos and severe thyroid issues. Plus a host of other gyn issues. Menopause has only made it worse.
I've read that Rachel Ray has some similar problems, and also doesn't have kids.

That's how you get fat if you don't have kids.
Listen to how insulting you sound.

OP here: as I said before, 48, 2 kids, no thyroid (thyroid cancer). I get it. I also work out more than 7 times a week. I'm not a size 4 anymore, but a 6.

I think her recipes suck too.

You're not getting it and not nice. NP, also with PCOS but through complete luck had a kid at 40 after years of no luck. And I'm a 2, so have some EVOO and go deposit your judgment in a garbage bowl.

Please MYOB. You don't know if she has an hormonal problem or anything else. Attitude is what counts.

Soooo funny to read all this indignation over the criticism of Rachel Ray's appearance. This is DCUM, OP. You should know this is unacceptable behavior towards (almost) all females. Now, if you'd like to destroy KellyAnn Conway, they'll be down with that!

I have the same thing, and have Hashimotos disease. Look it up, your face and features bloat and puff when thyroid antibodies are flaring. My face and body swell and deflate quickly.

The only way I have found to keep it under control is absolutely no wheat, no dairy and no sugar- to decrease inflammation. Doubt Rachel Ray can do that and have a cooking show too, unless she spits that stuff out off camera.
