That said, I like the magnet programs (arts and language immersion). And I like the idea of the Early Years IB program. |
| No. I don't hear people clamoring for charter schools in Virginia. Why would legislators encourage them without support from the voters? |
| No. Charter schools are the source of so many problems compared to public schools, as they lack the accountability. In areas with failing schools, that may be ok, but for the most part, va schools are not failing, at least in northern va. Gov. will veto. |

| No - charters suck money and resources out of public schools. Finland, a country with some of the best schools in the world, has no charters and all kids go to neighborhood schools. School Choice is not a good thing for overall educational outcomes. |
Because legislators do whatever they want. They don't care about their constituents. |
