Saoirse - Which pronunciation (or mispronunciation) will we run into most frequently?

End goal = seer-sha.

I was reading it like it was in Spanish "sah-o-ear-say"

I can tell you which pronunciation you'll never run into...

I have a FB acquaintance who named her kid Saoirse. I have no clue how to pronounce it. In my head I guess I say Soar-Say.

Surely you wouldn't do that to a kid.

Sa-wor-si. Rhymes with Sakorsky.

I love Irish names, but I'd never use that one outside Ireland itself. I grew up with a Siobhan, and every year the teachers would butcher her name.

In my head I was saying say-or-say. I have a hard time remembering Gaelic pronounciations that don't follow English phonetics at all.

I love this name and know how to pronounce it but 99.9% of people will get it really wrong.

I'd say Seer-sa

I have no idea if this is right.
