Agree. I don’t buy it. She’s toxic.

+1.

Things just don’t add up with her. I think the BRF is toxic but it always has been, so she offered no news in that regard. So also got exactly what one could expect marrying into that family. I think actually think the BRF went out of their way to accept her at first (likely because she is black and they want to appear modern and open). Doria was invited to Sandringham, Charles walked her down the aisle, the Queen brought her along on some of her engagements. But Meghan obviously will not follow protocol and seemed to be more interested in what’s in this new role for her vs. how can she support the monarchy. She wanted media and attention, just on her own terms.

I find Meghan so off-putting that it’s hard to feel sympathy for her. I believe she’ll twist stories and all out lie to make herself look good. I do feel sorry for Harry. I think he’s not bright enough to realize the damage she has caused to him and his life. While she plays the victim, he truly is one.

First paragraph is especially dead-on.

+1 for both paragraphs. Those conversations near the chicken coop were especially cringe and fake.

It’s cheap, immature, tacky, and pissy, but it plays very well to histrionic women who are also victims all day every day. Just bizarre.

She married into the most ossified colonialist institution on the planet. She did this in the age of Google, decades after Diana, tacky interviews, and her husbands Nazi party days. Time to ovary up and be a big girl.

I think they protected the queen because otherwise they could make the whole monarchy tumble and he does not want to be disinherited completely. How many years could she have left?

The Queen holds the $$$. The Queen holds the power. They had to suck up to her.

Charles has always been a major insensitive ass. No surprise there. The Crown certainly did him no favors.

On the contrary - they underplayed. A whole second interview or book can be written on who made the racist comments about Archie, the Frogmore saga, the tiara fight, her father and sister, what Harry meant when he said ‘if you knew what I knew’, the Royal Foundation breakup , William

No way. Phillip, yes.

There have been hints that Philip is experiencing dementia, so I sincerely doubt that it was he having serious, racist conversations with Harry.

Phillip is known to say really inappropriate things.

I think the queen, Charles and William consult on matters and the queen gets outvoted.

By not identifying the source, Meghan and Harry lose credibility. What a letdown!

How are they any different from a tabloid if they don’t name names?

Meghan and Harry made the no title decision. He would have been granted one by the Queen.

Meghan did not percieve it that way and she's clearly put out.

No, according to the letters patent, the great grandchildren of the monarch are not princes. Once Charles becomes King, Archie will be a Prince.

According to those same letters Charlotte and Louis should not be princes.

No matter the gravity of the story (the Kate flower girl whatever, to the racist questioning of Archie's skin color, bc whoever questioned that would have done so regardless of king or being a nobody), why the hell would you let your wife air such personal matters on global television??? I'm just dumbfounded by all this.

They didn't win. the BRF didn't win. Oprah did.

Nah...they won. They were not allowed to defend themselves on that side of the pond and they were eaten alive. They won. Meghan took the high road and didn't attack her bat shit crazy trashy sister because someone would say she is going after her poor disabled with MS sister. She had every right to call out racism and not giving a shit someone is suicidal. They protected the queen, Willy and Kate even though I'm sure they were not innocent. For the record I don't think Meghan is a saint. She needed shades of narcissism to survive her childhood with a sister who is green with jealousy and hatred, a bitter divorce between the parents and who knows what else. She did not deserve all that bad press. The number of times Kate was complimented for the same thing Meghan was demonized for was ridiculous. I'm sure Kate the Great is breathing a massive sigh of relief Meghan went easy on her. I suspect it wasn't deserved, but they both were catty to eachother.

Had she truly taken the high road, she wouldn't tell the entire world about a private conversation that occurred between her husband and her family- not even her. She HAD to ensure that was shared bc she has to be the center of attention.

And as someone mentioned earlier, had she TRULY had active, suicidal ideation with intentions to harm herself, and champion mental health as she said she does, this would have been the perfect opportunity to share how she sought help after she had left the Institution, so that others may empower to do so. Packing your bags and moving to a private island Canada and L.A. doesn't treat suicide ideation.

She should say it. The comment was racist. I am a white person who is so sick and tired of people shielding white people from the consequences of making racist comments. I am Christian and my partner is Jewish. Am I supposed to be okay if someone in my family says something to the effect of what if your child is born looking really Jewish. Am I supposed to protect them for being antisemetic? Whoever said it was being racist. There are plenty of books, movies, videos, etc. they can use to understand why their comment was racist. They should be apologizing and doing better. I don't feel bad.

I will add, the BRF feels trapped to stay on the good side of the press because they are afraid of losing public favor and their position as royals. It's that simple. They want to be king more than a brother, father, uncle, or grandfather.

You need to learn more about how this works. It’s fully within protocol for him to not be a prince upon birth.

It was fully within protocol not to do that with Charlotte and Louis.

Because they are in the direct line of succession.

Worldwide press coverage suggests otherwise.

Umm by that argument so is Harry and his son. Everyone is that isn’t the heir or Prince of Wales. Legally they should not have been HRHs at birth

Archie would have had a title (Earl of Dumbarton), but not Prince until Charles ascended the throne. Then, like Eugenie and Beatice, he could be prince. Meghan is full of shit.

Brilliant. King’s landing is definitely on fire after tonight.

I think it was William. Harry made clear it was in a conversation about what hypothetical children would look like. This tracks with previous reports that Harry was engaged by some conversation he had with William about reservations that William had about Meghan. And, inexplicably, Oprah mentioned William as she transitioned to asking Harry about the skin tone conversation.
