The Dick Van Dyke show was one of my favorites as a child. Good, clean humor.
She will be missed. |
| Wow good life. |
| She was great. I loved her so much. I remember watching the MTM show with my mom when I was little and getting all happy, especially b/c my mom loved it. I still liked the reruns. |
| DAMN DAMN DAMN. 2017, dont start this sh*t..... |
| OH NO! What did she die from? Does anyone know yet? I loved her!!! |
Complications from diabetes. Dick Van Dyke said diabetes had taken its toll way back in October 2015. |
| She's been in poor health for a long time. Diabetes and more. |
|
So sad. 80 isn't that terribly old nowadays. I'm sorry for her family and friends.

The Mary Tyler Moore Show was revolutionary television for its time. It's probably revolutionary for our current times too.
She was a remarkable talent. She suffered from diabetes for a long time. RIP. |
Seriously. Ugh. All our icons are going. I remember in my mid-twenties moving into a studio apartment on my own in San Francisco. I felt like I was having my own "Mary Tyler Moore" moment, where she's so happy she throws her hat in the air. It's such a shorthand for being happy with your independence. |
2017 SUCKS |
80 is remarkably old for someone who has lived with Type 1 diabetes most of her life. |
Oh my gosh, did I write this? This is me, exactly. What a great show and great memories with my mom. |
All our icons are going because they're OLD, and we're almost-old. Seriously, RIP Mar', but 80 years is a good long life. |
| I was a kid in the 70s but what little girl didnt stop turn and throw their hat in the air MTM style? I know I did.... alot. |
