DP. I'd be fine with work permits, if it were official instead of dependent upon formal or informal discretion. By that, I mean, law.

Sure they are. Unfortunately, we have way too many here that are illegal.

But for all practical purposes, they should be legal, and the solution to that is to amend the law to make it so, not to rip them away from their home and family and deop them off in a place they've never known.

Not true. DACA kids with MA residency get in-state tuition in MA. You've posted here before. You aren't a resident of MA so you don't pay income tax there. You just have a vacation property. Move to MA if you really want residency.

It’s not that easy, There are lengthy waiting times, it’s very expensive, and they have to make a lot of money for the immigrants to qualify to come. The more people they want to bring, the more money they have to make qualify and the more money they have to pay the US Treasury.

They were brought here as children. They are not to blame. They are by and large productive members of society. They don't know any other country. I agree we should not allow this to happen anymore, but help the ones that are already here. Otherwise there is no American exceptionalism, just cruelty. We are no better than all the countries we invaded to bring "freedom."

Sounds like a personal grievance, not a reason to punish 800,000 people. If you don’t meet the MA guidelines for in-state tuition, that’s on you. Why are you posting in a local DC forum, anyway?

Yes, it is. It's an example of how DACA kids are being favored over American citizens. They get in state tuition at most state colleges, why?

You will have to ask the respective states. That isn't a federal issue.
