Eh we know how this ends. TACO.

Never voted for Trump but this TACO thing is an extremely unfunny, peak Boomer cringey Dad joke. Stuff like this is why people think Democrats are lame. It’s Tim Walz and “Real Men Vote for a Woman” commercials all over again.

I bet you were very upset when Trump kept saying Crooked Hillary, Sleepy Joe, and Little Marco.

NP. Trump's nicknames were funny. You can't just start repeating some foolishness. You have to be funny. The funny is what Democrats are always missing. Is it really that hard?

I'm a Dem but yeah, Dems have zero humor. As people go, totally uptight and petty in terms of execution. I've worked for both parties and while I subscribe to Dem platform, quite honestly, it was always easier and happier working for Reps. They are just more relaxed as human beings. I find Trump and his clan utterly disgusting but just saying in general, having experience with both political parties, the Dems can be quite a nightmare as people. I don't really have an explanation but Dems are def more uptight!

I'm the PP who wrote that Trumps nicknames were funny. Both your response and the angry retorts by stung Democrats make total sense.

I never have and never will like Trump. My family is from one of the countries on his first term ban list. The effects of that decision were devastating for so many in my family. It was open season on us in terms of harassment from ICE, TSA, and other government agencies. And we're all highly educated greencard holders or citizens.

Having said that, funny is funny. The first time I heard "Crooked Hillary" I cracked a smile even though I really hate that man. His jabs at Jeb Bush? Comedy hour. There's nothing more painful than laughing hysterically even though you hate someone, but that's what happened.

The fact that the typically UMC, white DNC shills in this thread really don't understand that the average American and even immigrants like me find Trump's nicknames funny confirms yet again that something has gone wrong in the Democratic hierarchy. These are just not normal people. They are the veritable stereotype of elites in an echo chamber. Their disconnect with the rest of the country has had and will continue to have terrible repercussions for those of us who really do not need Republicans winning anything.

You actually laughed at Crooked Hillary and all the other names? Jesus, that’s cringeworthy, you’ve basically just announced you have the worst sense of humor ever.

I don't think you understand that it is completely inappropriate and disrespectful to the office of POTUS. Why don't you try giving everyone offensive nicknames at work and see how that goes for you? What if your kid gave nicknames like that to classmates? Would that make you proud as a parent?

who cares? should we have Jon Steward running the country?

+1

I don't get your logic. I mean, toddlers and their toilet humor makes lots of people "crack a smile" but no one wants a toddler in charge of the country.

I mean, that would be a vast improvement over what we have now. If that’s a possibility, I’m totally in!

It’s my favorite when the MAGAs, literally the lowest of the low, pull out their fainting couches. The hypocrisy is astounding.

Wtf are you addressing me for, I’m not the one who said I thought it was funny.

Different people find different things funny. If one person finds it funny and another doesn’t, it is by definition both funny and not-funny.

For me this whole stupid breakup is yet more evidence that great wealth is inherently distorting. It surrounds a person with yes-men and fails to provide the normal feedback loop and natural consequences for their behavior. That’s why so many billionaires are, frankly, giant man-babies.

If we don’t want a country run by petulant children, we are going to need to start taxing that third comma at astronomical rates. If we don’t, we are just going to have more of this absolute nonsense

He sure is! Here’s a partial list of the names he has childish names he has called other people.

No. This is not four dimensional chess. These are two rich megalomaniacs who act impulsively and destructively in everything they do. While this falling out was probably inevitable, it was not pre-planned.

Also, there’s no way this bill is ever going to reduce the deficit.

Yep. One of them has admitted to peeing himself because of his drug use. There is nothing 4D about this circus.

Sorry Elon, you need to go, but the US government will take SpaceX and Starlink on the way out.

lol twitter is much more powerful vs Trump and the republicans. You people really do not understand the power Musk and other tech kings have to shape the narrative. Fox is only a repeater station. Without the tech bros Trump loses a lot of influence. He only has the white nationalists and right wing Jews alliance. Trump hate of Bibi is showing and the pro Israeli are really worried.

Let’s see what happens when you “take” spaceX and starlink. Think Google, meta, etc are going to be okay with that?

Musk can crush any congressman or senator in real time and that is before he unleashes a few million in a primary attack. Hell X is worth a million dollars in any republican primary and if X is actively working against your primary campaign you are done!

Did you see the response to Steven Miller tweet?

Will he smell like urine doing it?

The frustrating thing is that Elon is absolutely correct in his diagnosis: the US debt is unsustainable and Trumps BBB makes it that much more disastrous. But of course his prescription of slashing spending on the social safety net is equally disasterous, and will put the US standard of living on par with Argentina. The solution is to raise taxes back to where they were under Ronald Reagan and George HW Bush, and preserve the level of social services we had then. But only Democrats are advocating for that sensible option.
