| Yep...the "planted evidence" lie was started last night, is totally baseless, and is not surprising that the whole of the GOP would manifest in it. |
The other night I dreamed that republicans finally came to their senses about Trump. The reality is that we're living a nightmare in which people still support him. It will never stop baffling me. |
So your telling us you dream about Trump. Nice! |
| Does MAL not have any security cameras? It seems like someone would have noticed 10 boxes worth of documents being carried inside MAL if the FBI were attempting to “plant” evidence. Am I supposed to believe that the residence of a former president, under Secretary Service protection, has such lax security that this is possible? |
Good point. This is so ridiculous... |
yes, but Trump supporters will never figure this out. |
Didn’t they take the footage from all the security cameras? They’d probably edit that out if it had been planted. Oh they didn’t take the security camera footage? Why won’t they show us the warrant? (See how easy it is to spout off nonsense and almost make a point but say enough triggering words in a row to get some dumb maga guys to start threatening a civil war while they wait for their first insurrection trial? Logic doesn’t work with these people.) |
Yes, it does. And it turns out the footage from those cameras was subpoenaed recently. https://www.cnn.com/2022/08/09/politics/donald-trump-document-investigation-mar-a-lago-search/index.html Good chances that evidence from those tapes was at least partially the basis for the search warrant. |
| Could the secret service have stopped the FBI agents from entering if Trump had ordered them to do so? Just curious how this works. |
If they wanted to get arrested they could have done that. |
No, because USSS are law enforcement officers who swear an oath to the Constitution, not to petty tyrants, and cannot follow illegal orders. |
I love it! From your CNN link: “The Secret Service validated the search warrant, met up with FBI agents as they arrived, and ensured they had uninhibited access, but the Secret Service agents themselves did not help in the search, the source said. The senior-most Secret Service person at the property served as the point of contact.“ So even the FBI doesn’t get to just stroll through MAL without the attention of the Secret Service. |
| With the former president in NYC and not Mar-A-Lago, the Secret Service role was greatly diminished. |
But was still present to verify the authenticity of the search warrant, greet the FBI upon arrival, and make certain areas available, per the search warrant, so what’s your point? |
