Looking at the submitted .PDFs, the apps got better and more polished every time she submitted one. You pretty much have to apply to a dozen plus elites to hope to hit one, but the added benefit is those last few are really top notch. Long story short, my daughter is probably going to get into Yale.

| I wouldn't count my chickens before they are hatched, op. You are jinxing your DD! Come back and let us know what happens. Also, just because you think it worked for you doesn't mean it will work for everyone or that everyone would want to do that. |
I know, I'm half kidding. But the difference between first few apps and last few is night and day. And only a few days difference. It'll be interesting to see if the extra polish works. Maybe they're TOO slick!? Who knows. |
| I'm the pp. I wish your DD all the best! |

Practice makes perfect!!! But ugh. What a chore these things are. Good on your daughter, OP. And you, because I'm sure you supported and cajoled and kept track of things
|
| Definitely get sharper as you go along. Develop a groove. I regret submitting the early ones. Sorta of cringy in spots. |

Is it just me or does the OP make no sense?

Plus 1 |
| The jokes on both of you. The name of the school hardly matters anyway. |
Good for you, here's your participation trophy. |
| All the best, OP. |
|
not sure what it means "probably going to get into yale" unless you are somehow very special people.
I'm glad your daughter has been so successful. Now give her some space. |

Wow, there are some crankypants parents on these boards.
I got the joke, OP, even if some didn't. Good luck to your daughter. And thanks for the info about applications improving with practice. I will use it when my oldest applies in a couple of years. |
| How much money did that cost?? |
