Flynn communicated with Russian Ambassdar while US was readying for hacking sanctions

Is this treasonous? What the heck is wrong with us? When will the rest of the country wake up?

It's not treasonous. There's only one president at a time, and since the election, that has been Trump. In his mind and in the eyes of the media.

Ugh, this just gets worse and worse. Where is law enforcement? Where are the intelligence agencies? Where is the enforcement of our friggin' LAWS????????

It would be treasonous if Flynn was providing the Russian ambassador with the inside scoop on sanctions. Flynn would have been presumably privy to this and has a clearance enabling him to get information that the US would NOT want shared with RUSSIA.

Did you read the article which states the specific act he would have been violating of undermining a current presidency?

I suspect that this is why Putin didn't retaliate for Obama kicking out their diplomats. More than likely they received assurances from Trump that he will do what the Russians tell him and will lift the sanctions and allow the diplomats to return.

15:46 here -- I was sort of kidding.

Flynn of course has a reasonable explanation, that the calls were social and also arranging conferences between their bosses. But Flynn does not have a good reputation as a straight shooter.

Is this a violation of the Logan Act? Well, there's no proof. And who would charge him of it?

Democrats seem to feel the same. There's lots of reference to a final 15 minutes in Comeys briefing "shaking confidence."

Us was placing sanctions on Russia for hacking. Evidence suggests Comey called to assure them not to worry because Trump would immediately lift all sanctions.
