Muriel Bowser - Will She Win Re-election

Anonymous
I am not a fan. I just think she's not that bright and is corrupt. Will you support her when her term ends? Who else could run?
Anonymous
When does her term end? I didn't vote for her last time and I won't vote for her this time.
Anonymous
She has 2 years, but no one has emerged who seems to be interested. I'm worried.
Anonymous
I imagine Gray will torment her from the Council for the next two years and run. Perhaps Racine, too.
Anonymous
Who to replace her? Any viable candidates?

It's too soon but I think Silverman will make a play soon. Grosso will try, and fail.

Why do you think Grosso will fail? Silverman can't win. She won't get any black wards, but Grosso definitely could. My favorite is Kenyan McDuffie, but I don't think he's ready yet.

Grosso sucks too.

Good grief people. Silverman, Grosso, and McDuffie are ten times worst than Bowser.

Muriel is lots of talk but little action (on the plus side, she is great at all the ANC and Community Association meetings - takes every question, well-thought answers; but there is just no delegation of management and creative problem-solving to the Deputy Mayors, and everything is decided and managed by her CoS). But we canNOT afford the super-liberal utopian policies of Silverman, Grosso et al - so-called "Independents" who could not win an Democratic primary. They make Cheh look moderate.

The days of needing the black vote and drawing to a close. There will be a white mayor in the next couple of elections mark my words

They are drawing to a close, but not yet. A lot of people don't like Silverman. I like Grosso. A little liberal, but I like him.

I don't see who can run and win at this point. Still wish Cantana had gotten traction last go around. Our current mayor is extremely ineffectual and a continuation of the city corruption.
Anonymous
I think Grosso could win, TBH. He has a broad appeal. But agree it's early to tell.

Mayor Bowser is terribly ineffective- as she was as a councilmember, honestly.
Anonymous
I hope not. All talk, no real action or innovative ideas. Completely ineffective. What has she actually done so far?
