Group of 6 people. Nice but not extremely expensive. Food that would appeal to all taste ranges. Quality DC experience.

Old Ebbitt Grille is great "DC" kinda place and close to White House.

Sequoia is so pretty on the river (food is just meh)

I like to take them to Jose Andres restaurants - they get that star quality and the food is usually just different enough to seem a little exotic.

Agree with anything Jose Andres. Or Zaytinya. On the more casual side, Busboys and Poets.

Also on the casual side, but feels cool for visitors is the Hamilton. We took friends there with kids and it was a hit.

Cava. Every single person I've taken to Cava has loved it.

All of our out of town guests request Peking Gourmet Inn in Falls Church, VA. A quick drive out of D.C. and absolutely phenomenal food & service.

No. it isn't 1992. Blue Duck Tavern, a Jose Andres, Rasika or even Zaytina.

Zaytinya or Jaleo. Rasika if we can get a reservation. Kapnos Taverna in Arlington if we're over that way.
