ASL roster out opinions?

Majority of these girls are familiar names and have been on team years past. Only a few new names

The girls are fairly well connected and I have a decent sense of the roster already. I am not aware of any girls picked who were not at the tryout.

Apparently there were some 2027s selected who did not try out. How about the 2028 list? Did anyone get handed a spot by reputation alone?

Every girl on the roster was at tryouts. My DD knows every girl on team and they were there in person

Lots of talented girls on the team. My DD says there were some talented girls at tryouts who were not offered spots wonder why

That’s tryouts. Sometimes girls will make the team and sometimes they won’t. Parents can’t watch so you are relying on 15 year olds recapping. Why they have multiple evaluators at the tryouts

That’s tryouts. Sometimes girls will make the team and sometimes they won’t. Parents can’t watch so you are relying on 15 year olds recapping. Why they have multiple evaluators at the tryouts

The top girls in the area all made. On the margins, you could argue there are a few girls who should have made it over a few who did, but that is true on any team.

The starting lineup for this squad will be competitive with the top teams from LI and Maryland.

How they do in the tourney will likely come down to how much the coaches play the bench.

Yes to Maryland, considering many top MD players are doing AA, but not LI. Capital + a few players will not beat Yellow Jackets best.

Interesting list. There is one fewer roster spot this year, so only 9 of the players are returners. 6 of the 9 get the hat trick after being selected three years in a row.
