My brother's wife

Anonymous
My brother is allergic to pine trees. For this reason we never had real Christmas trees growing up. Well when my brother married his wife she had told him how much going and picking out a real tree meant to her before knowing of his allergy. That was 5 years ago. They've had fake trees every year. This year my brother's wife was showing me their tree on her phone and I said wow that looks real. It is real. I'm done with her. I can't believe she would do this to my brother. Ugh

Is it bothering your brother. Like is he actually sick from it? If not, I don't see a big deal. Leave their marriage alone.

+1 Not your marriage, not your allergy, not your problem. Stay out of it.

He gets an itchy rash after he touches one. One year after going camping he had to get a shot it got so bad. His eyes get puffy and watery and his face swells.

Your brother sounds like a real piece of work--allergic to pine needles? Come on.

Allergies aren't always a big deal. I take a Zyrtec and get on with my life.

Does his mouth swell to the point of not being able to speak up for himself? Really, this is not your problem.

This is the crucial question.

So. Don't touch it. How do you know so much about your bro's rashes? I couldn't tell you what reaction my brother had as a kid--unless it was life threatening. Stand down, Fifi.

I'm just protective of my brother. She is going to have to get used to it.

This to the degree I wonder if this is a genuine post.

I dare you to confront her if you're so bold.

I guess I overreacted. I just get so tired of how unappreciated my brother is by his wife.

I did confront her.
