Preferable a historical one, but not filled with chauvinism or a totally weird power dynamic. I like ones with instant chemistry between them, not where he "learns to love her" yuck. Preferably ones where he is pining for her from the get-go

But that is all about weird power dynamics - that's probably the definition of Outlander. But I do admit the TV version is sometimes compelling and sometimes very bad indeed. |
