I think her shoulders are beautiful, also when she wears sleeveless dresses. |
In fairness, I don't think your disappointment in Mrs. Obama not hiring a stylist will cause her any sleepless nights nor her many admirers. |
Irrelevant. Also "many admirers" sounds significantly less less than this thread initially claimed ("world's most admired woman and fashion icon"). |
Michelle Obama is literally the most admired woman in the world, period. And Glamour and both American and British Vogue have literally called her a fashion and style icon. If you have something to contribute to this thread, have at it. If not, get lost. It’s not political here. https://today.yougov.com/topics/international/articles-reports/2019/07/18/2019-worlds-most-admired https://www.vogue.co.uk/gallery/michelle-obama-style https://www.vogue.com/article/first-lady-michelle-obama-fringed-white-dress-today-show-international-day-of-the-girl-celebrity-style https://www.glamour.com/story/how-michelle-obama-changed-first-lady-fashion |
We are discussing fashion, and our opinions on fashion. None of the people we are discussing know we exist. None of them care. They are all rich and famous. And Michelle needs a professional stylist. Her look is getting worse by the photo. |
But these articles ARE political! Also, all style points described suddenly make no sense: cardigans are her style? She's a print master? MO doesn't have a style, she doesn't care for fashion (unless she there is a possibility to look what she thinks is sexy) and it shows. One really have to be into her for different reasons to start believing that she's fashionable in any way. |
Different strokes for different folks. You may not like MO's style, and that's fine. But there are others who do like her clothes. Your self-designation of fashion police and what others shouldn't like and why you don't understand why she doesn't get a stylish is annoying. Not because it's your opinion but because you go on and on and on. It gets stale after awhile. Your writing style and style of critique gives you away. |
I was just thinking MT, like MO, might want to consider a new professional stylist also. Room for improvement all around. |
This whole forum is fashion police. Please stop getting upset because Michelle isn’t perfect. No one is. Michelle doesn’t have to be perfect. Nobody, not a single celebrity, even with professional stylists, gets every look right. They have fashion hits and fashion misses. Michelle also. She’s having more misses because inmho her stylist is more her friend than a professional stylist. |
Stop bringing FLOTUS into Michelle’s thread. |
I agree totally. Maybe it was you complaining some pages back where FLOTUS and even Barack's pants were all over the place in this thread? Hopefully, that was you complaining and the message was finally received. |
Significantly less than this thread claims because 1) there's no obsession with Michelle's clothes that necessarily warrant 500+ pages here or anywhere else, 2) I'll bet there are really only a very small group that's obsessed, frequently posting here and elsewhere but having fun and 3) mostly admired doesn't mean that if there aren't 500+ pages of comments in this DCUM thread about Michelle's clothes doesn't negate the fact that she is indeed most admired. |
Michelle as close to being the Princess Diana of America as a woman can get. Diana, before her untimely passing, was referred to as the “People’s Princess.” Michelle is so loved and admired by the people of America, and the world, for being herself in the WH for 8 years. She is original, authentic, and real. Michelle continues to inspire so many people. She is a role model for millions of people around the world. I love that she calls herself “hugger in Chief.” |
We don't share the same fashion sense but I love Michelle and her husband with no reservation. |

“Princess Diana” lolololololololololololololololololol
