I think it was just an email from her lawyer?

She NEVER denied she was at the party. She said she didn't REMEMBER attending any such party. Politico's headline is misleading.

That always works at school. Johnny did you take Quesi's snack 36 years ago? I'm not denying anything, but I don't remember if I did or not.

Maine is a very poor state. I can only imagine the raft of cash, promises, etc., she will be offered in order to get her to vote yes. This has been sham--it's sickening.

Kavanugh also lied about something as stupid as drinking to excess at Yale. Many people have stated that he did so, yet he denies it. If he's willing to lie about this (which is NBD actually) what else is he willing to lie about?

http://theweek.com/speedreads/798739/republican-yale-drinking-buddy-kavanaughs-tells-cnn-lied-senate-judiciary-committee

"There is no doubt in my mind that while at Yale, he was a big partier, often drank to excess, and there had to be a number of nights where he does not remember." She said she can "almost guarantee" he doesn't remember a night she witnessed where he was "stumbling drunk, in a ridiculous costume, saying really dumb things" to pledge a fraternity.

Jeff Flake just left the hearing room with his Democratic friend.

Republican Sen. Jeff Flake just walked out of the Senate Judiciary Committee meeting, tapping Democratic Sen. Chris Coons on the way out. Coons followed him out of the room.

The two men are good friends.

Earlier today, when Coons was informed Flake intended to vote for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, Coons got emotional. He teared up before saying, “We each make choices for our own reason. I’m struggling, sorry.”

- per CNN.

I will say that after watching this charade I understand why minorities don't show up at the polls as much as white people do. As a woman, I'm sitting here watching all of this unfold, and I realize that it's pointless to vote. Nothing is going to change. This guy is 5 times worse than Clarence Thomas, and the Republicans wouldn't even interview people who could have provided background. This decades after Anita Hill. The only thing that matters in this country is rich white men.

Jeff Flake is a Goddamned coward.

WSJ: Mitchell advised Republicans that to continue questioning Kavanaugh she was required by her oath in Arizona to inform Kavanaugh of his rights after he lied to her about July 1, 1982 entry on his calender. Maryland statutes was last question she asked, then break was called..

A lawyer I follow on twitter found this to be a bit dubious. I haven't seen the actual source either.

I don’t subscribe to WSJ do I can’t read the article. I do see Feinstein tweeted today that after Rachel Mitchell asked about Jul 1, the Rs took over. Thanks Feinstein - the Ds were still asking a lot of questions at that point. Why did THEY ask him more about that date then?

Oh eff off. They prize independent thinkers up here. She caves on this she is in deep sh$# in 2020. Look at the comments section on the Portland Press Herald. She holds onto her seat in this purple state because she isn't a party line voter 100% of the time.

PP here. Glad you fixed it. I agree--it's beyond hard to recall FACTS after 36 years.

Again, HRC won the popular vote.
