Congresswoman Wilson's behavior has been reprehensible, and her mocking, facetious attitude displayed this morning shows she thinks she's subjected to a different standard of conduct. And I am condemning her behavior, even though she's black. Sue me.

Please, this is a good time to focus on honoring the sacrifices of Gold Star families and those who mourn.

Yes, and that is why Wilson should have kept her trap shut.

Oh look, another conservative telling an outspoken woman to keep her trap shut. Quoting Paul, are we?

I notice that not a single Trump supporter here has commented on Wilson's close involvement in her community over the course of decades and the lives she has helped through her mentoring program and her outspokenness about helping black men avoid becoming statistics of violence and crime. Because you just want to keep pushing the narrative of a loud mouthed black elder who needs to keep her trap shut and pay obeisance to the master in the White House.

The local Miami paper has reported facts that make Kelly's slam of the Congresswoman factually incorrect.

This may be a cultural issue. I don't mean black or white, I mean DC/Northeast/Mid-Atlantic and elsewhere, where colorful is not an insult and is tolerated or prized in a leader or politician.

But her behavior aside, she's correct. It is inappropriate for the president to attack her, to punch back 10 times harder.

Who's to say he punched back harder? She took a private moment and used it to ridicule the president, slinging mud for all the nation to see. He simply defended himself. (I know that flies in the face of liberal preferences, where you can sling mud and call names but conservatives have to STFU.)

I was quoting Trump and Melania, who said he punches back 10 times harder.

He attacked her. Or, as you say, defended himself. I believe that is inappropriate.

I disagree. I think he would have appeared weak to allow a Comgresswoman's mud-slinging to go on with no response. If he did, Lipkins would have taken it to mean he felt he had no defense and was in tacit agreement with her statements. But as I said, the libs like it when they are permitted to say whatever crap they want, and then get furious when they are called out on it.

God, this is just a gross story. The WH is totally incompetent. Trump tweeting after Kelly botched his defense of him. Just LET IT GO. Stop talking about it.

The Congresswoman and a family member in the car, and John Kelly, all agree on the facts of the conversation. Her reporting to the world what actually happened is not mud-slinging. What Trump said and did not say WAS insensitive. Trump should have immediately apologized for misspeaking and moved on.

Black elder? Still playing the race card, are we?

And as far as what she's done to help her community, I haven't followed her career (although apparently she's been good at grabbing taxpayer money to give to her constituents). Besides, it makes no difference in the instance we are discussing, which is how she took a private moment to try and shame the president. Shame on her!

The family has taken that private moment to shame the president as well. Are you going to slam them?

Why should we? The Congresswoman was on CNN this morning, keeping it alive by talking about it for 20 minutes while saying the family doesn't like it! Shouldn't both sides let it go?

Kelly botched his defense? Were you listening to the same broadcast I was? Kelly was phenomenal. If you weren't moved by his speech (and he lost his own son, remember), then you are too "contaminated" by hatred of all things Trump to see things objectively.

That family wanted no part of this. Apparently, they've voiced their feelings that they want the cameras gone. Did they go to the press? Or did the Congresswoman (aka mother of the slain soldier)?

....talking about it? She was laughing about it and making jokes! She is thrilled that she landed a punch on the man she sees as her enemy.

They have? I've seen no statement from the family. If so, what exactly did they say?

How about consumer confidence at an all-time high.....illegal border crossings down 70+ percent.....reworking VA so vets can see their own doctors....getting rid of onerous business regulations that are strangling businesses.....stock market at all-time high, helping the half of Americans who own stocks....successful military operations.....unemployment at a 17-year low.....food stamp usage down....flying his private jet to rescue a sick child (bet you didn't hear about that, did you?).....signing the Keystone pipeline to add 80,000 jobs and work toward energy independence.....returning issues to Congress that rightfully should have been their decision ....red., etc. those are some off the top of my head.

Here's a more inclusive list. And yes, I had to go to a conservative site to get some. The liberal media isn't reporting them (which was my point).

P.S. I don't particularly like this site, but I'm leaving for work. I'll find something better later.

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/06/19/wilbur-ross-trump-has-driven-the-stock-market-to-4-trillion-in-gains.html

-Consumer confidence is not at an all time high
-Illegal border crossings have been going down for years, this is not due to Trump. In fact, Obama deported more illegals in the first 9 months of 2016 than Trump has in the first 9 months of 2017.
-The VA reform was underway under Obama and in fact, the head is the one Obama holdover.
-What specific business regulations that were onerous have been eliminated and what exactly is the economic impact and environmental impact of said regulations?
-Stock market has been rising for years as a result of the stabilization of the economy under the previous administration. Yes it has seen a bounce due to the anticipation of corporate tax cuts, but even Mnuchin said yesterday that those DOW gains would disappear if the cuts don't happen. Most Americans do not benefit from a rise in the stock market.
-What policies has Trump enacted that has impacted unemployment? Again, the trendline has been good for years.
-What policies has Trump enacted that has impacted Food Stamps? Again, the trendline has been good for years.
-How does flying one sick kid compare to the overt abuse that has cost millions in taxpayer dollars and Tom Price his job?
-Check your figures on Keystone. Also, where is the steel for the pipeline coming from? Oh ya, Russia.
-Keystone is not energy independence for the US. The best path towards energy independence in the US is renewables, which has 6x the jobs of coal in the US.
-Returning issues to Congress. In theory, I agree with you on this. In practice, Trump has signed many more impactful EO's than Obama and doesn't have any major legislative victories.

So off the top of your head, there really isn't much that Trump has accomplished. Well, actually, he has made our foreign policy a shambles, has caused further instability in Kurdistan and North Korea, is inflaming our longtime Allies in Europe over both the EU and Iran.

I guess we really do live in two countries if you believe what you wrote.

Yeah, that poster went to work. You better believe we really do live in two different countries in U.S.

Kelly was doing good until he decided to lay into Congresswoman Wilson with a fake story. He fvcked up big time, and eroded his credibility. There's nothing objective about a lie.

The WH CoS used the podium with the presidential seal to lie and otherwise slander and impugn the ethics and integrity of a MoC. So, no. Trump drags everyone down to his level. Kelly needs to go. He's an embarrassment.
