I believe the bulk of the evidence suggests he did not steal a poster, but rather that this was a made-up story by the North Koreans to justify detaining an American. Sad that you'd buy into the propaganda so willingly.

We are already embroiled in a conflict, if North Korea thinks it's OK to detain an American under false pretenses and then murder him. The only question is how we now respond. What's your suggestion?

It's simplistic to suggest that a military or some other strategic response would merely punish a single leader, when a large segment of the corrupt North Korean society props up the dictatorship, based on a willingness to treat the dictator as a messiah. They share in the responsibility for Wormblier's murder.

It's extremely simplistic to suggest that dropping a nuclear bomb on any country would "punish" anybody.

DP. It's not that he went to NK, defaced a poster and was sentenced to prison. That's ordinary North Korea awfulness.

Instead, he got sick, spent a year in a coma, and was released home to die. For "humanitarian" reasons.
