They won't be crowing about his portraits after they start hearing him drop f-bombs at their sons on a daily basis ...

The Art of Noise and the artist formerly known as Trig. Very cute.

Oh, and he is helping pick the team along with the Gonzaga coach. How convenient for kids from those schools. Then again, this is the Corrigan rooster barn and it is that time of year for lax bros to roost.

I believe the third coach being formally from St John...

not many kids choose St. Johns over Prep. I'm sorry, I don't care who the coach is, its known as a safety school for a reason.

It is kinda ironic the Gonzaga and St. Johns coach are the UA coaches this year - I believe this is the 2nd or 3rd year in a row the Gonzaga coach has ran the UA DC team.

You know who's the most upset? The parents at St. Stephen's who shelled out hundreds of dollars to get their son an edge, and all they got out of if was a lousy oil portrait on their wall of their son in a Napoleon pose.

On the bright side the parents do get to keep the British polo outfit regalia and the sheep dog posed into the oil painting. Sheep dogs are awesome pets.

They are both great Lacrosse coaches, not perfect human beings. Perfect human beings only reside here on the boards...lol.

Rhetorical question, right?

And one we all know the answer to.

Well, the SSSAS coach is leaving for a big (non-lacrosse) job at the St. Christopher's School in Richmond. And the STA coach, who started his own non-profit charity to benefit autism right of college, has seen his non-profit grow by leaps and bounds and will be going to business school this year. Don't know about Prep, but all I see overall is that the IAC coaches are real people who move or make career changes just like everybody else.

There is a part of me that totally gets that these coaches are "real people" and I cringe when I read all these criticisms, whether off the wall unfounded, or with some grain if not total pound of truth of the coaches. How would you like it if people started posting on public forums on how well or not you are doing your job. Of course most of those posts quickly devolve into so many crazy and hurtful tangents. The other part of me thinks that if someone willingly throws themselves into the shark infested cesspool that is IAC lacrosse, well then you know what you are getting into. All that said, I am familiar with both the SSSA and STA departing coaches. True gentlemen. Good luck.

Second your last three sentences 100%. Both are becoming a rarity in DC-area coaching circles - true gentlemen. Knowing SSSA/STA though, they will make the right hires.

How did the IAC do at UA, Wavelax and Freestate tryouts?

Several top players are no longer trying out.

UA has turned into a complete money maker.

I went the website last week to check it out and was shocked to see that A. There was a "tryout fee" for players and B. $180.00???

Because you are an idiot. Of course there is a tryout fee - why wouldn't there be.

As for the price, $180 is a good deal (although not as good as it used to be). To be able to play locally for $180 in front of that many coaches is a bargain.

But yes, it is now getting watered down and less bang for the buck.

Not sure asshole. Why is there a tryout fee and why is it $180.00?

I know, probably because it's a big money maker because 98% who pay to tryout are dreamers with no talent...like you and your family. Now go back to playing with your belly button lint Douche-nozzle.

It's a $180 UnderArmour tshirt.

The teams for this a Corrigan Sports garbage can are set in the parking lot before the kids even get on the field. Certain HS and club lacrosse influences ensure that.

This thing is a joke.
