Whose Airstrike Bombed a Girls’ School in Iran? The U.S. Says It’s Still Investigating.

Just to make it clear, the Minab school attack is a war crime. This was not an accident. This was completely avoidable.

The school was also hit by 3 separate Tomahawk missiles, which are precision guided and are equipped with operator POV cameras that allow the operator to redirect the missile. As Wikipedia states, this was a triple tap. Why is no one in jail?

New U.S. Missile Hit Iranian Sports Hall and School, Analysis Shows
The Pentagon used missiles untested in combat in a deadly attack that struck civilian sites near a military compound on Feb. 28, according to visual evidence examined by The Times and weapons experts.

This strike was mentioned on this thread several times previously. And people did not believe. It was reported on by Drop Site News within the first couple of days of the war.

Just want to point that out for the previous posters on here who malign drop site as fake news. They have done really important journalism in this war and with Gaza.

Check their x for constant updates. Independent media is where the real news is being reported.

Here is the original report from Drop Site on March 1. I am glad that NY times has an article about it, even though it is 4 weeks late.

You sound like an idiot, or at the very least functionally illiterate. The first article in this thread is from the New York Times and it’s from early March when the bombing occurred Feb 28. They’re not “four weeks late.”

+1
That's the person who thinks "drop site news" is the very bestest of the best, no matter that no one has even heard of them. They keep promoting that site, for obvious reasons.

So much disinformation and propaganda on these threads, most of it being peddled by the same people, over and over.

Another school bombed, to no one's surprise.

Another fake news, broken link, to no one's surprise. How much do they pay you to post this propaganda?

Link works fine. Why are you so upset? It's totally normal and routine for Israel to bomb schools

It's also totally normal for Hamas, Hezbollah, and IRGC to attack schools - Hamas hit schools many times - in Ashkelon, Sderot, Beersheba, Hezbollah hit schools in Kiryat Shmona and a playground with kids playing in Majdal Shams, IRGC and Houthis hit schools in Israel, Iraq, Syria and Saudi Arabia.

And their Russian friends have systematically hit schools all throughout Ukraine.

There's a lot of selective outrage going on here... Shouldn't you all be condemning Iran and its proxies every bit as hard as you condemn Israel? And Russia as well?

I'm not seeing it. It's strictly about trashing Israel and silence about everyone else. I'm no fan of Israel either but it's pretty clear to see there's a lopsided, hypocritical, disingenuous and dishonest argument going on here.

You are absolutely correct and my post agreeing with you was just deleted. Unreal.

The first day of attacks, Feb 28, there were two different attacks with massive children casualties. One on the girls school is well known and is what the ny times article in the first post is about.

That day there was also an attack on a neighborhood gym in the city of Lamerd. Many teen girls died who were using the gym for sports practice.

This strike was not widely reported. But drop site did have a full report about it the very next day.

The ny times article this week is about the Lamerd strike. Hence them being four weeks late.

Did you read the ny times article linked above?

This article is about a different attack than the article in the first post.

please take the time to read it. It goes into pretty good detail about this other attack and the type of US munitions that were used.

Why are you posting this yet again? We’ve already discussed it. Are you trying to pretend like another strike happened?

I guess it's becoming difficult to keep track of how many and which schools have been bombed in Iran thus far. Isn't the count at six or seven now?

The question was, why are you acting like this just happened? It didn’t. But you sound charming.

Actually, no. The missile missed its intended target, which was the adjacent IRGC compound.

The intended target of the strike may have been an Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) base located adjacent to the sports hall. While no on-the-ground footage has emerged of the base to show the impact, the building appeared to be undamaged on high-resolution satellite imagery on 9 March.

No it hit the school which was the target. What you are repeating in the propaganda and lies put out by DOD after four weeks. No one with any understanding of the system would believe it malfunctioned in this way. Seriously just own what you did.
