Where's the nuance? Where's the interest in incremental improvement? Are you that incapable of critical thought?

The answer to your question is yes. MAGA are incapable of critical thought. People who are would never go the MAGA cult route in the first place.

AND...they like the corruption. They like the lies. They like the brutality towards immigrants. They are a bunch of sick f***s.

Funny! Page ownage too!

Notice many people consider Border Patrol/ICE as law enforcement, but I always thought they were more like a para-military, similar to National Guard and Coast Guard.

Interesting. Learned something. The BP at least really should be added under the UCMJ umbrella it seems like.

Why should a domestic law enforcement entity fall under the uniform code of military justice?

No tax on overtime will be great for law enforcement. Officers can choose to work the same amount of overtime and make more money or work less overtime and make the same money as before. Those saving for homes can begin to pad their down payment account. Older homeowners can choose to spend more time with their families without taking a financial hit. This will help with recruiting as well.

Bailiffs fall asleep in court constantly and are paid an insane amount to do nothing.
There are best practices for officers all over this country Montgomery county police fail at most.

I absolutely understand how hard their jobs can be especially if they respond to domestic incidents. However they overwhelmingly support Trump the guy who could give two shits about them. They wear that blue line crap to court and look like idiots. Pounding their chests while most of them can barely read. They treat Montgomery county court house staff like they are less than.

I am painting a wide brush here there are a few wonderful men and women however most are cold and lack empathy and brains.

Why don't you so smart and not joint the police force yet? That way we can have police officers educated and with the higher IQ.

Assuming this is intentional trolling. ^

DP But if it's a serious post, it has already been mentioned a few times in this thread that many departments discriminate against hiring those with above average intelligence.

They want order-followers, not thinkers who might question their orders or the legitimacy of the laws they are told to enforce.

Perhaps they should become part of the military? Would make more sense.

Then posse comitatus would apply. So, you would get your wish, no police.

Montgomery County has lifted the college degree requirement. In fact, they need soo many policeman, they are hiring convicted felons and making them policemen.

This is a trope promulgated by anti-cop liberals based on a single case brought by a Connecticut applicant back in 2000 or 2001. It’s propaganda.

There are no IQ ceilings. There are some incredibly intelligent law enforcement officers. People here can’t fathom the decisions police officers have to make in seconds while under extreme duress. It takes a lot more than just intelligence to function in the dark, all alone, in a life and death situation.

This is an easily debunked lie. There are no felons being hired as MCP officers. Take a look at the “BACKGROUND DISQUALIFIERS” in the FAQ section of their website.

https://joinmcp.com/faq/

Applicant are subjected to a comprehensive background investigation including their neighbors and co-workers. They examine both criminal and traffic records. Applicants take a polygraph test. They also undergo psychological testing.
