I had bulimia in college. Went through counseling and outpatient treatment. Told no one. My future MIL saw photos of me from this time (for something wedding related) and commented on
how “chubby” I was. Decided then and there that I’d never tell her anything personal, to include announcing pregnancies early or anything health-related.

This seems very dramatic and histrionic. How on earth was she to know that your chubby physique was due to an eating disorder? Of course it’s never tactful to comment on someones weight but if someone has a bit of extra weight and is now thin or average, then it is noticeable.

Well there is the abortion, which I don't tell people about because too many of my friends are dealing with infertility. I'm very vocally pro-choice though.

Right now people don't know how much I'm struggling with my health. I think they just think I'm a crappy friend and lazy. I share a lot of other things (good, bad, and neutral) on social media and I'm sort of tempted to share something about my health struggles, but I also feel like that's just sort of boring and nobody wants to hear it.
