Lost in US Soccer - can you advise?

Based on the other thread, you’re better of looking for Latin clubs or coaches rather than coaches from Cameroon. LOL

Will look up Lions Soccer - I happen to know Cameroon very well (but not from there) and can certainly confirm the quality of their players, many of whom play in top European clubs, as well as that of their national team

At this late timeframe when all reputable clubs and their high ranked teams have completed their team roster, your best bet is to contact Lions Soccer or other small/lesser known clubs anyhow. Good luck.

+1. It’s only about 3 weeks away from the start of the season.

Did the PP say something wrong? It’s the middle of August and league play starts in 2-3 weeks. The 3 biggest & best known clubs in MoCo are MSI, Potomac and BSC. These clubs had their tryouts back in May.

Will play in "local" travel leagues but less globo-gym feel than BSC for example. Practice 2-3x/wk on good fields with professional coaches. Contact Manny Woldamanuel at Top Rank Soccer for details and to arrange a tryout.

I would not do this. Coach Manny is terrible. He’s so mean to the boys I can’t believe some of the things he said to them. We kniw kids who quit soccer for life thanks to him. One is an adult now and works at a local sporting goods store to make extra money during college. He said he’s never touched a soccer ball since fourth grade because of Coach Manny. I believe it.

HORRIBLE experience with Coach Manny. My son basically is scarred for life from this guy.
