You don’t seem like you’ve read the thread. My contention is that Emile is a great skill/technique trainer, one of the best in the area. He also has a much more impressive soccer playing background than whoever your kid’s coach or trainer is. You cannot possibly disagree if you know anything about him. If OP is looking for a highly competitive travel soccer team for her kid, which it sounds like she is not, then BSC would be a better fit.

Not sure what your beef is with Lions Soccer or coach Emile. OP asks for some local teams for his son. Several people suggested a few teams for OP to check out. All valid posts. Not sure why you keep talking down on this specific club and/or coach in two separate threads. Is it really necessary?

My kid and his friends trained with Emile when they were young, around the time the Post article I linked to above came out. I am here not for people like you, but for people like the OP who do not yet know what soccer resources are available in our area. If you think that players from Africa (Cameroon, Ghana, and elsewhere) have not shaped the soccer scene in MoCo for the better, you have zero business posting here.

Old news. Remember that on DCUM, parents pay for their DC’s success and “what have you done for me, lately” mentally. Unless the clubs routinely have high ranking teams, parent here will think that the club is no good. Why do you think parents flock to BSC?

Agree. Our club tends to favor Persian coaches and I don't find them to be very good at all, for skills or tactical.

Op here. Thanks to the additional posters. We've reached out to most of the clubs suggested here, and trying to schedule try outs. Will look up Lions Soccer - I happen to know Cameroon very well (but not from there) and can certainly confirm the quality of their players, many of whom play in top European clubs, as well as that of their national team

At this late timeframe when all reputable clubs and their high ranked teams have completed their team roster, your best bet is to contact Lions Soccer or other small/lesser known clubs anyhow. Good luck.
