Little middle finger from the back seat -

Anonymous
Yesterday some guy in a black Audi honked at me kind of aggressively and my 10 year old was pissed off about it. She really wanted me to honk back and I wouldn’t so she rolled down the window and yelled HONK HONK at the guy. She probably would have flipped him off if she knew how. She has a little road rage.

And you taught her to express it?! Wow. I teach my daughters that honking is only to warn or alert other drivers, and that yelling/gesturing/honking out of frustration can lead to danger and even death.

Because it can. And has. As we have seen, over and over again.

Well said, PP. Unfortunately I have a feeling we'll be reading one day about the first poster and her daughter...

Same!

I would laugh and likely stick my tongue out at the kid. Hilarious.

Maybe the kid was criticizing your driving.

Ha ha! Yes. I live in NJ and we call it the "New Jersey wave" or the "New Jersey salute." With the way people drive in NJ, we've all given or received the finger at least once.

I am from NYC and honestly, I know my kids see me give the finger to other drivers and probably get the finger too, so whatever. I'd laugh and laugh if I saw a kid doing this.

When we stopped and the light he was still doing it and I want to say something to the driver who I assume was the parent of this monster but I didn't even though if it was my kid I would want to know. Would you just ignore it and say nothing?

Oh Karen. Lighten up!
