I would have laughed my butt off OP. That is funny.

I’d give him the finger back, with a huge smile.

Were they white

This really concerns you, OP?

The little monster recognized a kindred spirit and saluted you, OP.

That's weird. I wouldn’t let my kids do that especially to adults. Bad, lazy parents

It takes a village to raise a child

+1 Sometimes you can just do an exaggerated double-take and the driver (or front seat passenger, if there is one) will notice. I would want to know if my kid was giving the finger to people. It isn't acceptable under any circumstances and it definitely is not behavior we model for our children so I would want to put the kibosh on it asap.

As a teacher I recognize the parents who think it's cute. They defend the kids bad behavior in school, blame the teacher or say their kid is above the rules. Crazy.

I would just act like I didn't notice and hope nobody in a gang or on drugs shot the kid.

Maybe his finger was just broken and he couldn’t put it down at all. Maybe they were driving to the urgent care to get it checked out 😀

Nailed it!

Surprised at the number of people who think this is funny. (guess I have a different sense of humor)

I think it is rude, would be upset if I discovered my kid did something like this, but I wouldn't go to labeling the kid "a little monster"

And no, I wouldn't try to tell the parents.

Well, dear, I’m sure the “bad parent” at the time was, you know, DRIVING A CAR and PAYING ATTENTION TO THE ROAD. Obviously, they didn’t know what their kid was up to in the back seat.

Get a life, honestly. I’d rather have a parent focused on safely driving than on glancing back at a quiet kid every 20 seconds.
