There were buses before the silver line. The clown travels by bike.

Either way, other than making Mcleaners feel uncomfortable, I don't think they are causing a crime wave.

I thought the clown was just weird, not homeless?

I don't think the night clown is homeless either. Also the old lady in the post office doesn't look homeless, she is well dressed. They are eccentric fixtures in Mclean. If we could tolerate Newt Gingrich and Ken Starr in Mclean, we can tolerate our eccentrics.

No, sweetie, they tolerate you.

Put this in classic DCUM files. "The clown travels by bike."

The clown travels by bike to Pimmit Hills. Everyone is going to Pimmit Hills.

I haven't seen her in a long time.

Have seen her within the last 3 months. She seems to spend much of her day sitting in front of the library, as if she is waiting for someone, but she actually is homeless. I believe she sleeps in either the library or the community center.

So she just waits inside until the community center closes?

I am the PP. she is harmless and never bothers anyone at all.

I do not know her exact routine, and I wouldn’t want to disrupt it even if I did; she apparently has enough problems on her hands.

One guy has been there since last year and I've seen him everywhere, from the sops on Chain Bridge to the churches along Georgetown Pike. He has a few shopping carts full of things (now that I think of it, they all do; it's 2 or 3 guys AFAIK). They mainly keep to themselves, but how did they get to McLean?

OP, are you counting the people who aren/t paying their mortgages?

That's mean. I think most people in McLean are more charitable. The city of fc has a shelter which is a draw. While I don't want a shelter here, maybe Mclean is a safe haven so that's ok.

One of the churches near downtown has a mens homeless shelter, for over nights only.

Idk why the obvious is so hard for people to understand. And people really exaggerate how much of the homeless are drug addicts or mentally ill.

A LOT of the homeless are people who have jobs and fallen down on their luck with no family to help out.

An opinion not supported by the statistics.

Not a lot. Some. People who actually work with the homeless community will tell you you’re wrong. No judgment for being an addict or mentally ill, just facts.

They shouldn’t be allowed here. Can’t the govt just round them up and take them to PG county or somewhere?

There weren’t homeless in McLean in the 1980s and 1990s.
