Yes, some of these parents are an embarrassment, but they're actually the minority despite their incessant need to complain and create conflict. When school is in person and interactions are IRL, it's pretty easy to avoid them. They just make all of us look bad on these forums.

Lol.

Seriously. And considering what so many other kids have dealt with over the last year, having to switch teachers is not going to permanently harm your precious angel. Your sense of entitlement and privilege is disgusting. Really.

So true, and you will quickly learn who they are.

I hear you.

Agree. Great work, Lafayette. Open up for most kids and offer a virtual option for those who want. This is what should be happening everywhere. Any school that isn’t doing this is doing a really disservice to society.

Having been raised around them (I don't live in the neighborhood anymore) I know you are right.

Don't ruin it for the rest of us

That is what I would like to yell at you with your YOLO travel and your YOLO classrooms of 22 kids and their maskless indoor lunch. Mass maskless unvacc'ed spring indoor lunch happens to also be known as COVID PARTY.

Eat outside or open the windows. They’ll be ok. Teachers are vaccinated. Stop spreading panic.

Then them doing another 6 weeks of DL won't kill them either.

At our school the upper ES parents didn't want IPL even for Term 4. They are expanding lower ES IPL based on requests and teacher availability.

Now I shall wait to be called a WTU Troll or reminded that teachers are useless.

My quick retort is I am declaring my WTU income on my taxes and three of our teachers (one my DC doesn't even have anymore) are now seeing kids in person at parks on Wed and the weekends doing activities with them and just playing because they are fully vaccinated. They all can't wait to be back with "their kids".

You do realize most of the country is doing this. It’s time to move on,

A sad day when Texas and Florida have things figured out better than us. Maybe your kids will be fine as a result of our city’s bad reopening, but many won’t recover from this time and they’ll be behind moving forward. Please, principals, open school and talk with families about coming back. These children could be lost forever if we don’t act. Don’t let this time ruin a generation. And now this’s isn’t overblown.

Who are you? Consider therapy, please.
