How often do your kids miss virtual school?

I’m curious how school districts are grading this year. I’m the one whose son stopped going to specials unbeknownst to me. No teachers ever made contact and he was given the lowest possible grade in those subjects (PE, music, art) on his report card. We are in ACPS. This whole situation sucks.

She’ll be fine.

Read to her, make sure she knows her letter sounds. Beyond that, an entire section of kids in 1st grade next year will know nothing. It’s FINE!! Make sure you keep your job. That’s much more valuable to your daughter’s long term development than sitting next to her during virtual school.

I have a friend whose 1st grade kid has never attended a single special. They log off after a certain time and don’t log back in. No one cares. We are in APS.
