2 days for a medical procedure. We're at a private so I don't want to waste my money. Plus, what else is she going to do for 6 hours while we're working? |
Nope, K isn't required in Virginia. |
Have you asked??? If you haven't asked, then it's your fault. At least one grade in our school is only posting one teacher's classes for the whole grade to view. That's probably what is happening in your school. |
If the attendance line calls you then someone IS checking in. |
Y'all sound super lazy. My kid has missed once for a doctor's appointment, but she attends everything, including specials. In fact, music and art are her favorite parts of the week. |
Never! This is the best part of virtual school, it is so easy to have them go! They were tardy once when I forgot they didn’t have the same school schedules (one kid had no school that say, the other kid did).
Once DD participated in class from the car on the way home to a dentist appointment. The only class she couldn’t do that with is maybe PE. I think she could even do art in the car. |
No clue. My senior has slept through countless classes. It’s a worthless year so I don’t care. |
Missed several hours to prepare for a instrumental competition. Don't regret it, as it way more intellectually challenging that school. |
DS has not missed any school. Education is a priority in our family, and I don't want to send any mixed messages even with this totally wacky year. |
A handful of times for appointments.
One of my DCs really hates missing any school and her classes are moving quite quickly this year. |
Go. Enjoy without guilt. If they can access slides or assignments after, have them do that. If not, it will be fine. |
My kids have not missed a day since virtual. They are ES. That said, we'll be taking a road trip this weekend and potentially missing a few days. I'm not worried about it.
In a normal year, we usually miss 1 week for vacation to visit family overseas. |
Its an auto-dial. Is that a someone? |
Some specials teachers are doing the absolute minimum. Its sad. Glad your kid has the rock stars. |
I would never pay private school tuition for virtual! Wow. You must be rich. I like the "its not school, its a drop in camp" approach. We are also planning some spring trips. |
