I consider Waterloo top 10 in my book, it shows up extremely well in hackathons against UIUC/Cornell/UCB etc. These are the schools I will take a longer look at if a resume lands in my inbox. I've spent 3 decades at BigTech.

All of the rankings mean something (i.e. there's a methodology) and at the same time, mean nothing. For example, Cal Poly Obispo punches well above its weight.

Yeah I saw that too. PP is an obvious troll. Nobody in the industry spells it BigTech (like it’s analogous to BigLaw), and that beach town in Cali is SLO not “obispo.”
