How do people's nannies "live alone?"

I want to pay a nanny a low wage, no benefits, oh and cash so there’s no taxes (because come on we all know a 1099 is illegal by now for a nanny. But so is cash so who knows)

I'm a nanny and i told my nanny fmaily I follow their example: I have my parents and cousins over to my house and give the occasional small party outside the in backyard.

They were horrified. I never again saw the relatives at the house, and no more backyard get-togethers.

Did they really thnk they were somehow special?

Right??? I’m doing the same as you, except I don’t tell my nanny family. They think it’s okay to go on vacation, see friends and have parties, go shopping, eat at restaurant etc but want me to stay home? Yeah I don’t think so. I tell them what they want to hear and then go live my life. I stayed home as long as they stayed home, but once they started exposing me to covid with their activities I went back to normal.

Right??? I’m doing the same as you, except I don’t tell my nanny family. Daycare is not a choice I would make if I had any option.

Daycares did not shut down. They have been open this whole time. My children never stopped going. Not one case in their daycare thus far.

OUR daycare shut down for four months, reopened and shutdown again after one staff member tested positive. Where do you live?
