How do you deal with people stealing from your food garden?

| My parents moved to a home in LA that has a kumquat tree in the back. It fruited this year and they were planning to pick it, when one night someone came by and took all of the fruit off the tree. The woke up to see all the fruit gone, and have no idea who did it. |

| My suggestion is to get a motion sensor that triggers a water sprinkler. Worked great for keeping herons out my neighbor’s koi pond. |
