anyone else feel weirdly embarassed to tell family they're expecting?

I mean all these things are changing in my body but instead of it being private it’s public. When it comes to having sex though I always did feel the “we’re trying” conversations to be awkward. I mean what does trying mean other than having sex lol. But somehow it isn’t construed that way.

Maybe not with younger people, but in my crowd "we're trying" commonly means "we're spending thousands upon thousands of dollars going through multiple rounds of Clomid, IUI, and maybe IVF." It's usually a pat answer to a question that is inappropriate about 99% of the time.
