| What is the most common mistaken belief UK people have about Americans? |
Brit here. Do you even need to ask? COYS!!! |
The Cotswolds - a hidden gem! |
Can you answer questions please
|
Lol. Talk about a life of misery. |
she probably can't answer most of these questions to be fair - because she doesn't know the answers. And its foolish to think a person from the US living in London would know some of the answers to the questions on here. Me, on the other hand, I'm from the UK and have lived in the US for 12 years. But its far too boring to answer questions about London / aristos and the like, so I don't bother. |
No. That’s cost per term and there are three terms per school year. This school is about 24,000 USD to send your kindergartener. |

Is the fact that BoJo was a US citizen until 2016 a concern at all to British voters? Obama was plagued by rumors he was a British citizen and here BoJo is, actually and without a doubt, American. Does anyone there care about whether the PM had other citizenships?
How often do you encounter anti-Americanism? Are you ever offended by it? |
They why bother setting up this thread in the first place? |
Where did you live in UK and where do you live now? Are you a citizen or are you going back eventually? |
Hardly. One of the major tourist attractions in England. |
I laughed. I'm American but I've lived for a number of years both in London and elsewhere in the UK. Asking an American expat in London, especially Primrose Hill/North London, is like asking a British expat living in New York's Park Slope or Brooklyn Heights what life in America is like! |
I’m a Brit so feel qualified to answer this! No, this isn’t a thing in the UK. There are many many reasons to dislike Boris but this isn’t an issue. And I think that’s because in the US being born American is a constitutional requirement for president but there is no similar requirement for UK prime minister. There are other things that I find very different - one is that politicians and the President here in the US talk about god all the time - they refer to God, they say God bless America, God bless whoever. If most British politicians did that, and certainly if the Prime Minister did that, people would either think he was a religious nutjob, or insane. It is a deeply secular society (obviously there are religious groups within it, but by and large) |
| Op tell about your housing situation. Everything seemed so crowded and small and London is outrageously expensive. What is your kitchen like? Also tell us about your medical care. |
