Yes-voting by mail during a pandemic should be a bipartisan issue. As Amy says, we should not be forced to choose between democracy and public safety.

Why can’t old people vote by mail? They’re the generation for whom the postal service are most relevant. The last thing they want to do is wait in line for 4 hours at an elementary school to vote when they can mail in a ballot for vote early.

This is what I mean. They already can vote by mail.
Many older people *already* vote absentee ballot by mail, and don't stand in line. That's why this plan by the GOP and Trump may backfire and is not very bright.

Some states need you to present specific reasons to be able to vote absentee. I think Virginia was like this until recently. Look upthread and you’ll see Texas is like this now. I’m sure there are lots of others.
