Please recommend movies for young kids without scary villains

My son (4 yrs) has never reacted as strongly to any movie as he reacted to Up. He was very scared of the dogs and the storm. He didn't like the suspense at all. I myself bawled my eyes out at the beginning (it's a really great movie, though). My son also only makes it about 30 minutes into Ponyo before deciding it's too scary.

My 3 year old likes the original Cars, but Cars 2 was too scary, as was Kung Fu Panda 2. She likes all the Toy Story movies, WALL-E, Ratatouille, Mary Poppins, and How to Train your Dragon. One thing we do is buy her books of popular movies and read them instead of watching them (Cinderella, Snow White, etc. That we she can still relate with her peers about the movie plots.
