| How about now? |
Now? No, I wouldn’t have my child wear a mask to her Zoom meeting in the living room. |
Schools won’t be reopening until 2021. Guaranteed. By then, things should be better and you wonMt have to worry about a mask. |
| Kids shouldn’t go to school if masks are needed. That’s the fundament reality. |
| Wow, this thread didn't age well. |
2021? You’re insane, guaranteed. |
| Anything is possible at this point. Maybe we’ll start school a month early in the fall. Maybe we’ll return at the usual time, but schools will be run differently. Maybe elementary schools will open before secondary schools. Maybe we’ll be distance learning until next spring. Maybe the promising vaccine that was announced this week and is already being tested will be available before the end of this year and will be super effective. Maybe we’ll have herd immunity by this time next year and we’ll be safe from this particular viral strain in the future. Maybe we’ll never be safe from covid-19 because this virus will be like the common cold, in that getting it only confers immunity for a brief period, and any time we get this virus could potentially be the time that it does irreversible damage to our lungs. The bad news is that we don’t know enough about covid-19 to predict the future. The good news is that the medical/scientific community all over the world is working to figure these things out. |
Kids were wearing masks to school before the schools closed and MCPS teachers were telling those kids the masks were not needed and to take them off. |
Guaranteed you aren't talking to the teachers' union. Teachers' unions are already putting forth their demands for any future school re-opening. Catch up. |
| Yeah our MS principal doesn't think we will return in the fall. |
Somebody with an obsession with the teachers' union evidently has a lot of free time to post on this site. |
That was the CDC guidance at the time. |
They are the ones that have to show up for work in order for schools to open. Unless you will be filling in for them instead? |
I'm not saying I doubt you - but then why hasn't Maryland called off school for the year. I hate the uncertainty! |
Get back to me in the Fall. You are insane, guaranteed, if you think the kids are back IN the classrooms in the fall. |
