My gf broke up with today over the dumbest reason.

I think blending families....uh....canines can be complicated.

If your pets do not get along, why force it??!
It was a very di#% move on your part to suddenly change your mind & telling her that her dog is not welcome in your home.

Remember she is a package deal.
Take it or leave it.

Actually, she broke up with you for a very good reason. You showing your true colors. You’re a controlling dick. I don’t blame her for leaving one bit. Sounds like she has a head on her shoulders and doesn’t want to be in an abuse situation.

He decided not to take it. I don’t see how he was wrong. If you don’t like something, you don’t like it.

Actually, he thought he could take just part of it and leave the other, and then got upset when she wasn’t willing to do that.

Good for her for holding her line.

If a woman intends to move into my house then she has to adapt and make efforts to fit in.

The choice is hers to make.

In this case, OP has stated the law - his house, his law - his frame.

She refused to abide by it.

Yep. Good for her. One can make those rules, but then when the smarter and more sane of the two of you break it off, then you are going to be confuddled just like the poor dick, I mean OP, who posted here.

I’m not going to make myself a guest in my own home. Back when I was single, I never would have moved in with someone who didn’t view me as an equal when it came to our use of our home.

Her dog is her family, you can't tell her she can move in but not the dog. Good for her he showed his true colors.

How am I clueless? I don’t like her dog and it’s my house.

What if it was her kid. What if her relatives visit and you don't like them, or her friends? A dog is family nit wit.

You seriously have problems - as in serious!

Eh you showed your true colors. Moving in together was a big step and you handled it poorly. If you really loved her and thought she was the one, you could make it happen.

He doesn’t love her, he just wants free sex, meals, and a clean house.

OP, you reacted too overtly. You should have responded non-commitally and then demoted her to FWB status.

If two dogs don’t get along to the point that they’re fighting who would want that kind of headache?? Someone is on the spectrum for not wanting that added stress now?

Duh..you can't read. He's on the spectrum because he doesn't realize humans are more important than dogs.

Mmm, no woman is more important than my dog. Women are easy to find and replace; a good dog is not.

I wanted to marry her. I could never be fwb.
