Well for one this child died alone on a cold hard floor, without even a pillow or blanket or glass of water to ease his pain.

Next question?

I can probably find 10 kids who died like that in the US. Let’s help them first.

I worked in a juvenile detention facility. I would sort of equate that to "like that" since it's also a place with adults who have custody and take responsibility for minor children who have committed illegal acts. Nobody died "like that". Nobody died period. That kid would have been at a hospital receiving care in such a situation. We even took kids to the dentist. Because, you know, they ARE KIDS and you are their caretaker (acting as the parent). They are not adults. This child was in the custody of the US government (us). We are responsible for his death. I wonder if you know the difference between a child and an adult.

ANYONE on this thread who supports the CBP or tries to excuse the death of this boy are monsters.

MONSTERS.

This is a lie that is commonly told. The United States was colonized and settled like most other places.

CPB is doing a great job, especially when dealing with what they have to deal with

Here we go again. So first he’s being detained in an Obama policy.

Second - regardless if it’s Obama’s or not - doesn’t matter. The facilities were never built for this kind of influx. We don’t have the facilities or personnel to deal with this at all. What needs to happen - as ICE director has repeated - is to enforce the border and secure it to control the influx. Steps are in place already to speed up the process but CPB has to deal with Mexican cartels shooting at them and the fact over 1/3 of people dragging kids over the border aren’t related to the kids they bring. This encourages human trafficking.

CPB agents are doing the best they can. Oh by the way most are actually Hispanic Americans. It shouldn’t matter but I’m this age of liberal race baiting somehow race is always a conversation.

First and foremost. We need to secure the border and half people come in leaf ally through authorized ports of entry. Asylum should only be granted in extreme cases, this is to expedite the process for those who actually deserve it. Many who apply, 80% don’t meet criteria for asylum.

Next, Congress could take up immigration reform instead of soviet style show trials, but the liberal AOC rulers of the party have no interest in that. They want to use these people as pawns.

Finally, come up when a budget to help find border security and the agencies responsible for the processing and care of the illegal aliens. They should be deported immediately but that’s not the case. They’ve already hired over 100 new judges to help speed up the process and biometric technology is being implemented to allow DHS to keep better track of people.

Well we know what you would have done had you been working there and knew there was a sick boy alone in a cell. Congratulations.

Your opinion means little to me. Facts are facts

Where were the parents? Fail.

You would leave a kid on the floor to die because you think their parents were negligent?

Maybe just maybe you wouldn't have a kid on a floor dying in a foreign country that he entered into legally if his parents took personal responsibility for his well being. I know that's a super hard concept to understand for liberals. Gee, what kind of parents with any sense of rational mindset would let their kid walk into a foreign country illegally that's 1500 miles away?

Just open up the borders and provide free healthcare for all who enter. That's what democrats want. Admit it.

Even if you don’t care about alien children you should care about how we look on the international stage. These are human rights violations and if we allow it we can expect American citizens to be treated in the same fashion when they go overseas. I think it’s time the UN steps in.

Yes, let UN step in. Let see how fast they will pick up those incarcerated children and treat them.

If this child crossed the border legally, he would have required to present all his prior vaccination record. then he would not have been alone on a cold hard floor, without even a pillow or blanket or gals of water to ease his pain. He would be sent home to die in a warm and a cozy bed, surrounded by his family, with a lot of fluffy pillows and a full bottle of water to ease his pain.

How does that mitigate this awful situation? Please, clarify for us why previous deaths make this particularly cruel death less awful.

Please clarify why you are outraged by this death, but couldn't care less about similar deaths under the Obama administration?

It's because you hate Trump and want something to vent about.
.

Please clarify where it is stated that I "couldn't care less" about similar deaths under the Obama administration? Specific quote, please. Then list all the similar deaths during the Obama administration so we can all express our outrage and dismay. Because any child's death diminishes us. Thanks.

Did you complain about migrant deaths four years ago? Of course you didn't. So why do you now care?

And when you have an overcrowded facility filled with people who come here illegally, often already ill, this type of thing unfortunately happens. If you are truly outraged by this situation, I would suggest you take up efforts to stop illegal immigration altogether.

They’re dead, Joe. Can’t help them after the fact.

But we can prevent such deaths from happening in the future. Do you understand that? Or are you suggesting we let migrant children die alone on floors of a cell?

“Unfortunately”

This is America. You’re saying we aren’t capable of showing human empathy or making sure conditions aren’t cruel where people are locked up?

I’m saying that in an overcrowded detention facility, there are limited resources and things like this will happen.
