I wish our family did this. At least my two siblings and I agreed to stop buying for each other and just buy for the neices and nephews. My parents, who are on a tight fixed income, don't think its a real christmas unless they buy gifts for everyone. So my mom still tries to buy me jewelry or clothes. I am 46 years old and she still has no idea what I like. I want her to stop but she refuses.

Parents - Night light, framed photos of kids, and a photo canvas of their dog
MIL - We take her out to a nice restaurant every year. She will also receive framed photos of the kids, and probably a nice warm robe.
