It's a prediction for what I think will happen. That's it. And, yes, I think she'll get the 2nd most votes for council.

She's been on the scene for years, she hasn't won anything - right? - but you think she'll get the 2nd most votes for council, because...?

NP. She'll get votes because she wants to make parking free in Rockville Town Center after 5pm.

But on the flip side, she wants to widen I-270.

I do too...

Here's my prediction - you got 1 of 4 for council correct. Gottfried and Griffiths? That's precious. Lee might have a chance given the large Asian population in the city.

Mayor: Newton
Council: Feinberg, Pierzchala, Pitman, Cote Griffiths

Just curious, do you think there's a connection between yard signs and success in local elections? I don't know how close they're tied. But if there is any connection, Ashton has 5x the yard signs of Cote Griffiths or Pittman, and will be elected easily. Even Myles yard signs far outnumber Griffiths or Pittman. Pierzchala has a chance because he's an incumbent, but he's run a half-hearted campaign.

Monique Ashton, Beryl Feinberg, David Myles and Nark Pierzchala for city council. Preliminary

Rockville results: Bridget Donnell Newton 7,560 vs. Virginia Onley 4,230. Preliminary.

It looks like Rockville Forward has the majority for the next four years. Thank god the Trumpist lost.

Rockville Backward. But yes, Brigitta Mullican continued her streak of losing elections, for which I am grateful.

Vote totals. Not surprised Masters got so few.

Not the pp you replied to with your eye roll but Lee did end up winning. You know Rockville is like 1/4 Asian right?

Lee did not win, at least as of 2 hrs ago.

Also, I'm Asian American and didn't vote for him. I don't vote based on race. And lots of Asians here may not be US citizens. I don't know that for certain, obviously, but neither do you. So, it's silly to assume that just because Rockville has 1/4 Asian population that they can all vote. Rockville also has a high foreign born population, and it's not clear how many are now US citizens.

I think Pierzchala having the lowest count of the four who won should tell him something. Lots of people were not happy how he pushed for the exception for the building moratorium. Ashton had the most votes, and she seems to care very much about over crowded schools.

You’re right. He was very close to beating Pierzchala though.

Yup. It should tell him that he was elected to serve another term on the Rockville City Council.

I am not happy about Mark P winning. I think he is being paid by developers.
