Do you also post stuff about how bicyclists are scofflaws and don't deserve bike infrastructure, while describing yourself as an avid cyclist? |
No, not a Trumpist. Certainly not hardcore. Luckily, Rockville City Council is nonpartisan, although with all the loony leftists here posting frantically, you'd never know it. |
NP. She'll get votes because she wants to make parking free in Rockville Town Center after 5pm. |
But on the flip side, she wants to widen I-270. |
And she doesn't believe in doing anything about global warming. |
From people who don’t realize the city has like $30 million in Town Center parking garage debt. |
Is there really such a great yearning among the Rockville electorate for "free" parking in Rockville Town Center after 5 pm? I put the "free" in quotes because the parking has to be paid for, one way or the other. |
Can you explain what that means? To whom is the money owed? |
The money is owed to the financial institutions that loaned the city the money. The city issued $35 million in bonds (i.e., borrowed $35 million) to pay for the construction of the public garages. |
I think the big need for free parking is for the movie theatre. 2 hours is enough for most other RTC activities. |
+1 The movie theater should be able to validate parking. |

Circling back to the original topic, here are my predictions:
Mayor: Newton Council: Feinberg, Pierzchala, Pitman, Cote Griffiths |
|
My prediction
Mayor: Newton (although I’m voting for Onley) Council: Feinburg, Gottfried, Griffiths, Lee |
They do for two hours, problem is you are there for 2+ hours. |
| When do they announce the results? |
