Everytime we say DC we are honoring Columbus. Well done! |
I mean, we know America was settled via the land bridge. Sorry there's no person we can name for that. |
“America” was “settled” by Europeans. Yes, there were “natives” from the land bridge crossing that were here, but it was not “settled” in the usual sense of that term. The current way of life here and everything you enjoy, including this forum was due to the fact that Europeans settled the NA and SA continents. If this had not happened, life would be much different for you. In fact you might not even be alive. Then again maybe we’d all be better off. Hard to say. We all need to stop apologizing for the past, stop complaining about and emphasizing our differences and instead focus on our common goals and beliefs (freedom, opportunity, legal rights, self-actualization). Strive for a fair and non-biased (as much as humans can) future. We can start by stamping out dictatorships. Here’s the full list. http://worldpopulationreview.com/countries/dictatorship-countries/ |

Yes, Happy Cannibals Day!
I missed those fun days, when we could burn children and eat their hearts. |
Embrace your MesoAmerican Religious Violence Day !!!! |
Arkington is trying. They changed Jeff Davis Hwy to Long Bridge Hwy. |
Let's!!! |
THIS. Remove the day/holiday completely, and make election day a federal holiday. Seems like a no brainer. |
| Happy Columbus Day! So glad he discovered America. Italian-Americans, Spanish-Americans and most Americans are proud of this great explorer. Hail, Columbia, gem of the ocean! |
Don't worry, give it time and some someone will one day say about these that we need to stop complaining. |
Drink much? |
| Viva Columbus! |
He was actually an Italian, but sailed for Spain. Portugal refused to finance his proposed journey. |
Viva Colon!! |
